Yummy Saturday!!!

Last Saturday, dante came here at the shop. He ask me if we can eat lunch at glorietta. I said "yes! why not?". We took a cab to go there. He ask me, what im craving for, i said anything. We went to Chef de Angelo its an italian restaurant. He ordered Big Bird Chicken, Pasta and Pizza. And mine is Wings, Fries and Pizza. And of course, my favorite RED ICEDTEA!. While waiting for our order, i noticed that many people are eating in that restaurant. I don't know why coz it's my first time there.

After 5 minutes of waiting, our order was served. And i was suprised, coz how can i eat this? its too large for me. Its a meal for two!
I ask dante if he can help to finish the food. And he said "Kaya mo yan!". I know my baby will be satisfy for the food i will eat but, hello? its too heavy!!!

Thanks God at naubos ko rin, kahit na nasusuka na ako!

Then after that i ask him if we can do window shopping.

I go back to work at around 4pm na. Before going home at 6 pm. I text my friend Jelai. I just ask her where she is right now. And she said she's at work. she said it we'll be much better if ill go there so that we can have chit chat.

I went to Podium. And find her, shes working at Burgoo. Finally, nakita ko na ulit sya after so many months na wlang communication because my phone was stolen.

She's also pregant like me kya lng 3 months pa lang ang baby nya. She ask me whats my order. Sabi ko bahala ka na, she ordered me Chicken BBQ with java rise and mixed vegetables as a side dish. She also ordered me Onion rings as an appetizer. and of course bottomless iced tea.

Hayyy..halos di ko na maubos lahat ng inorder nya para lng sa akin. she's working there as a Supervisor. We have a nice conversation. Ganda kasi ng place nila, super relaxing and the food was so delicious. (dapat lng, sobrang mahal ehhh!!!).

Before i go home, nagtake out sya ng Hamburgoo para kay izzy.
Id like to wait for her, kasi 9pm na yun, 11pm ang out nya..kya lng sabi nya late na. Neighbor lng kasi kme..

Parang feeling ko di ako makakaladkad kasi sobrang busog na busog na ako!

Understanding Paglilihi

Paglilihi, associated with the food cravings experienced by women during the initial stage of pregnancy, is virtually a Filipino cultural traditon. Old Folk attribute some traits of the baby to the particular food cravings and other likes and dislikes of the mother during this stage.

How many times have we heard the story of a husband who had to dash into the rain in the middle of the night to look for manggang hilaw or whatever it is that his pregnant wife suddenly craved for. Tradition demands that husbands satisfy these demands, regardless of time and circumstance, or face predictions of possible miscarriage and misfortune.

Doctors do not know the cause of particular food cravings. In general, however, they know it is a time when a woman's hormone level, is high and this makes the mother-to-be very sensitive to her surroundings, like odors, tastes and behavior of people around her.

"Paglilihi, the Filipino way, is 50 percent biological and 50 percent cultural and psychological," says Dr. Ernesto Moreno, who doubts whether failure to satisfy paglilihi actually leads to miscarriage.

At any rate, "I always advise husbands to spoil their wives at this time." After all, disappoinment and depression in pregnant woman is bad for the baby. Wives need a lot of care and attention at that stage.

What about testimonies of fathers who claim they went through the paglilihi instead of their wives. This is a manifestation of the power of the mind, opines Dr. Moreno. "In psychology, they call the 'reflection,' in meaning, going through what the other person is experiencing." It happens, he says to very compassionate husbands.

Psychological or not, paglilihi is one of the trappings of filipino pregnancy that makes the experience difficult but unique and special not only for women but for the whole family.

Me...Im craving for Holy Kettle Corn and Pinya (ang prutas na napakadalang kong kainin, na ewan ko kung bakit everyday kailangan ay meron ako nun sa breakfast ko!)

After 5 yrs...im going to be a mommy again!!!

Dec. 26,2006 i took a pregnany test because i was delayed for 1 month and then i found out that its POSITIVE!. Im 2 months pregnant. I was so suprise coz GOD already gave it to us. I tell my mom and sisters about it and they are very happy.

I put the pregnancy test to my husband drawer to suprise him. So that if he opens it he will saw it.

When he arrives from work, im watching t.v., he kissed me and gave me Kettle Corn which im craving for. Then he puts his phone and wallet in his drawer, he saw the preg test and says ..."really?? buntis ka?!!!! owsss? di nga??? hahahaha"

He was very happy. He kissed me and hug me very tightly.

I had a prenatal check up last January 2, and the doctor says that my baby is doing okay.,after she reads the ultrasound report and my laboratory results.

Im praying that he\she is safe, normal and healthy.
